Gas Wells

Landfill gas wells are typically drilled at diameters from 200mm to 450mm with larger diameters available upon request. Depths available to drill are largely dependent upon site conditions but Magpie have the capability and methodology to go well beyond 60m should the need arise.

Magpie Operate a fleet of 10 landfill rigs that all have the more efficient self emptying barrel auger that installs a cleaner, more productive hole at the same time as delivering a safer and tidier site. This innovation was developed by Magpie Drilling after working closely with the Landfill operators to solve some of the problems associated with the traditional methods of landfill drilling. Our latest innovation is the MC3000S drilling rig that has been designed to safely drill on slopes of up to 30 degrees.
